CAMPING

The troop maintains a very active camping schedule to assist the Scouts in their advancement. Under the new troop operation plan of 1990 about 80% of all skills needed for advancement are outdoor skills. A SCOUT CANNOT ADVANCE UNLESS HE PARTICIPATES IN OUR CAMPING PROGRAM.

  1. SCHEDULE: Once a year the Scouts help to create the new troop schedule by providing input in the process by indicating places they would like to visit. This schedule is then presented to the Troop Committee for concurrence with B.S.A policy and financial support.

  1. As part of the troop membership drive, it conducts a camp out each year for webelos of various Packs it recruits from.

  1. All participants of a camping trip will pay full fee as outlined on the information sheet. This includes Troop Leaders, Committee Members and parents. No prorated fee will be applied because of a missed meal or two. All instructions on the trop information sheet with regards to the trip, must be adhered to by everyone. This information is part of the weekend program.

The Scoutmaster will be in charge of all outings. His/Her decision will be the final word in matters of safety, Program and compliance with B.S.A policy.
