COMMUNICATIONS
It is an accepted fact that effective communications is a critical element for the success of any organization. The Committee, Scoutmaster, Junior Leaders and Individual Scouts must fully participate in the process.
COMMITTEE
1. The Secretary will mail a postcard (E-Mail or Phone) to all troop families to notify them of a committee meeting at least two weeks before the meeting.
2. The meeting minutes of the Committee Meeting will prepare and read at the following meeting
Special reports, Correspondence and other communiqués will be addressed at the Committee Meetings under the direction of the Committee Chairperson.
INFORMAL COMMUNICATIONS
1. Our troop prides itself in the free manner we communicate with each other. Scouts are encouraged to utilize the counseling services offered through the Scoutmaster these discussion along with the Scoutmaster Conferences and Board of Review are considered confidential Nature.
2.In the event that a Scout Communicates a problem to an Adult Scouter that affects his health, safety or welfare we are obligated to discuss this problem with the parents or guardian. The Scout will remain an active participant in this process.
FORMAL COMMUNCATIONS
- Each family will receive a copy of this manual.
- Copies of this manual will be given to all families of Scouts joining the Troop in the future.
- If a policy question is raised, this publication will act as a source for all decisions.
- This publication will only be used to Relay B.S.A Policy as it relates to the Troop Program and not create policy. The final decision will be the B.S.A Policy. The Committee Chairperson and the Scoutmaster must have a strong line in order for the Troop to run properly.
- All Requests for time at a Troop meeting by Committee Members must be requested of the Scoutmaster by the Committee Chairperson.
- Committee Members have no part in the troop meeting other than collections of forms/money having to do with various committee projects.
- All Requests for help of troop members must be made by the committee member to the Committee Chairperson, who then will make the request of the Scoutmaster.
8. All requests for committee functions by the Troop Leaders will be processed through the Scoutmaster/Committee Chairperson.
