FUNDS

The Troop will maintain various funds in the course of its operations.

• Checking Account that will contain most of the Troop cash used to purchase equipment and payment of bills, ect.

• The Jose Serrano/Jack Miller Fund is for assistance for Scout Families who may require assistance. To support a Scout’s participation in our program. Our Troop recognizes that special needs may, from time to time arise and may require assistance. No Scout will be denied access to any approved group activity on the basis of financial hardship. Funds can be used for uniform assistance or assistance in paying for camping trips. To access this fund the Scout’s Parent or Guardian will talk with the Scoutmaster who then will consult with the Fund Committee. The family is guaranteed confidentiality. If at some later date the family finds themselves in a better financial situation, we request, if possible, that some or money lent be repaid, so a future Scout can also be helped.
